Last night, we tried something fun with the kids. Jeremy and I have been thinking (well, mostly I've been thinking) that the kids don't really "play" together as much as they used to. Most of that is because they're getting older. Sarah and Hannah do LPS and Build a Bear, but mostly, they are just together, doing the same thing. Like watching something on TV, playing on the computer, reading. I wanted to get them playing together again to remind them of how much fun they have. So we organized a little game night. Jeremy, Amanda and Taylor each had a station and chose an activity and then Hannah, Sarah and I rotated around to "visit" each of them for fifteen minutes.
Jeremy chose Stratego:

Amanda hosted "Backwards Pictionary":

And Taylor painted finger nails/ toe nails:

It was really fun to see the kids laughing and playing together, and good for Jeremy and I to play with each of them at a chosen activity for a bit. Just so you know, I now have bright pink fingernails with black polka dots.

Nice, huh?
And you'll notice that a certain two year old was not invited. Rest assured, he was missed... but not that much. He was soundly sleeping, which is where he really needed to be. It had been a long day and he was done. Besides, toe nail painting and stratego are not really his thing.

What a nice idea.....and a reminder of how different life is for us with one kid from what you have there. "game night" is one of those things where more kids would be fun.
Probably a good thing Jeremy had a station or else he might have had pink nails too.
Sounds like a lot of fun. Cool nails!
